Answer to: Can Dazzle Replace the Blinky Mode in the Factory Settings? Thanks for all your help! Just made a slight adaptation to the tactical code and uploaded it to my light. Switched the order to glow > medium > high, and hold brings up the strobe. I actually find I normally need only the faintest glow, particularly for digging around in my tent or bedroom, or something like that, so it is nice to have just a glow as the first setting.

Answer to: HexBright Mounted on Rifles?Check out my post at the bottom of this page. I found that if I did some grinding on a 30mm optics mount I could get the flashlight to fit pretty well. I did need longer bolts to hold it all in place though. Anyone come up w/ a bicycle mount for their Flex?

Answer to: drop distance and ability to accept force / mounting to firearmIn days of yore they launched rockets with all the sensitive electronics packed into a can full of wax. When the rockets nose dove into the dirt, they just dug up the can and melted out the electronics. You could do the same but you might have melting problems with that huge heat source we so fondly call a LED. I'm also not sure if there is a large enough temperature difference between the melting point of wax and the damage level of the onboard electronics.

Answer to: Still not open source.I agree it is very frustrating. When trying to figure out the dimensions of the flashlight I had to purchase a micrometer to measure it my self, because the actual dimensions aren't listed anywhere. I thought we were supposed to have all that information. Party of the idea of open source is that you just make the information available. Make the plans available and the people will do the rest.

Answer to: Anyone come up w/ a bicycle mount for their Flex?I purchased a 30mm optics mount for your standard Picatinny rail, thinking that the flashlight would fit. Well after a ton of grinding, I've got it to fit pretty well. I tried mounting this to the side of my helmet but the flashlight is so heavy my neck go tired of lifting that side up. I've got some new rails to try attaching it to the top of my helmet instead. I'm also going to see if I can get a picatinny rail mounted on my bike somewhere to attach it there. Again, really wishing the flashlight were a lot smaller than they made it, because A) the thing is huge, and B) it doesn't fit any standard flashlight mounts, like this awesome one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controll...

Answer to: Anyone come up with a good lanyard?I had some 100lb kevlar cord lying around that I slipped through the holes and tied an overhand knot with. Kevlar doesn't stay tied all that so I rubbed a drop of wood glue into the knot to help it hold. I have the loop just big enough to slide my pointer finger through it if I hold it pointing down. Help ensures it won't accidentally slip out of my hand.

So when will you open the source of the mechanical design like promised in the kickstarter project?
A cad file would be awesome, but at least mechanical blueprints of the shape and all please. I'm having trouble finding mounting hardware because I don't know the actual dimensions of anything. I have to give it my best guess.
