Downloading a USB Driver?

I've tried to download the SiLabsUSBDriver, with no luck. Then I read that newer Arduinos (post UNO) don't need drivers. I'm on MacOSX. Any help for this programming newb?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Yep. Every time I try to down load the driver from google drive I get an error message, that the "app is not available."

Would one of the drivers on this page work? http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

There's 3 options for Mac OSX - should I use x86 (32-bit), x64 (64-bit), or PPC?

I grabbed the newest version of Arduino

http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

and Download the driver from

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

I used the x64 since my Mac from last year. Double check which processor you have.

The zip file you download will have 2 files, install the one related to your OS version. I have 10.8 and I used the that had 10.7 without any problems.

I tried that driver and I am unable to get my Hexbright to be recognized by Arduino... My other boards are picked up though... Any suggestions?
