Answer to: Why does the Green LED never turn solid? As an interesting aside... I installed the "hexbright4" code from github and it seems the charging LED behavior is nothing like the "factory" program. I didn't take the time yet to dig into the code itself, but when plugged in, there is just the "alive" rapid flashing of the green LED. The light has been plugged in overnight and there is no outward indication under this particular program that the charging cycle is complete? Has anyone developed any code to provide some level of battery monitoring via the built-in red/green LED readout? That would be super-useful, imho. I might take a look at that over the holiday break, time-permitting.
Answer to: Why does the Green LED never turn solid?I have my HexBright plugged into a 5V/1.0A USB charger (basically a cell phone wall charger), so depending on the internal current limiter on the charge circuit, there should be plenty of current available. I have 5V/2.0A chargers available as well. I am working under the assumption the limiter is set at 500mA to best match typical vanilla USB port current limitations. I just plugged in my newly unboxed HexBright about 10 minutes ago and can try to report back if/when it goes solid (green) charged.
