Anyone having success with adding boards.txt file to Arduino 1.6 Mac

It appears the /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/arduino/boards.txt has been moved / removed in Arduino 1.6....

Any ideas on how to add the relevant entries?

Unfortunately I have no experience with OS X on the Arduino end of things.

However, judging by the migration guide[1], it should just be a matter of appending /avr/ to the hexbright folder on any platform.

For example, if previously on Windows the file would be placed at:

C:\Users\ThisUser\Documents\Arduino\Hardware\HexBright\boards.txt

Then the new location would be:

C:\Users\ThisUser\Documents\Arduino\Hardware\HexBright\avr\boards.txt

( confirmed to be working - requires Arduino IDE restart )

One install method for OS X would be to do much the same, with the location being:

~/Documents/Arduino/Hardware/HexBright/avr/

If that doesn't work, you would indeed have to go through the .app file. The old location:

Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/arduino/boards.txt

Appears to have changed to:

Arduino.app/Contents/Java/hardware/arduino/avr/boards.txt

The same copy/paste approach of adding the definition for the HexBright board should then work.
